GLAMCO was founded in 1983, just before the Declaration of Full Independence of Brunei Darussalam in 1984. The set up was due to the need of a company to provide services to various aviation organizations in Brunei Darussalam, which was then undertaken by foreign companies. The initial aviation activity started by providing aircraft and helicopter spares to the Royal Brunei Air Force and Brunei Shell Aviation Department as well as Ad-hoc aircraft ground services. It was introduced at Brunei International Airport for corporate and private operations since.
